This three-screen video work has been edited together from interviews with three ex-Hunger Strikers. Each interviewee responds to questions on their prison experiences and provides a memorial anchor for the fictional Night-Time Room. This video work, I Remember, is relational to the Night-Time Room and creates a series of interactions with memory and historical experience. Our understanding of events are often mediated and constructed from such documentary materials and is remindful of the unreliable nature of memory in contested histories.
